OU-JLIC

The Orthodox Union's Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (OU-JLIC) – a project of the Orthodox Union in partnership with Hillel – is a program designed to help Orthodox students navigate the college environment and balance their Jewish commitments with their involvement in the secular world. OU-JLIC currently exists on 22 college campuses and has been at Queens College since 2012. At Queens College, Co-Directors and Educators Rabbi Benny Berlin and Sara Berlin organize:


•    Weekly Torah Learning opportunities on various Jewish topics
•    OU-JLIC Shabbat activities in their home 
•    Consistent, engaging Events and Programming such as the Weekly Free Hour Shiurim, Men's Programming, Women's Programming and Co-ed Programming
•    Special, one-time shirim and programming relating to the holidays like a Purim Seudah and Pesach learning
•    Personal, pastoral, and halachic guidance through one-on-one coffee dates or hangouts on campus
