OU-JLIC

The Orthodox Union's Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (OU-JLIC) – a project of the Orthodox Union in partnership with Hillel – is a program designed to help Orthodox students navigate the college environment and balance their Jewish commitments with their involvement in the secular world. OU-JLIC currently exists on 22 college campuses and has been at Queens College since 2012. At Queens College, Co-Directors and Educators Rabbi Robby and Shoshana Charnoff organize:


•    More than 10 weekly Torah Learning opportunities on various Jewish topics
•    Their signature OU-JLIC Community Seudah Shelishit every Shabbat at the Charnoff Home with signing, divrei Torah, homemade food and socializing
•    Consistent, engaging Events and Programming such as the Weekly Free Hour Parsha Shiur, Pasta Bar Night, Dinner and a Marvel Movie, Women's Mishmar and much more
•    Special, one-time shirim and programming relating to the holidays like our Purim Seudah and Pre-Pesach Haggadah Round Robin
•    Personal, pastoral, and halachic guidance through one-on-one coffee dates or hangouts on campus
