Social Justice
Join us at the Queens College Hillel in making a difference in the Jewish Community and the world. Queens College Hillel believes we can and must do our part to make a difference. Each of us has the potential to be a source of light and healing to fellow Jews and humankind.
Framed by the Jewish imperatives of tzedek (justice), gemilut chasadim (acts of loving kindness), and tikkun olam (repair of the world), the Social Justice/Tzedek group at Queens College Hillel engages and empowers students in meaningful public service and encourages creative thinking when addressing social justice issues. In the process of bringing about meaningful social change, participants grow intellectually and spiritually.
Participate in direct volunteer opportunities, attend alternative breaks, bake Challah for Hunger, and be a part of the Social Justice/Tzedek club and leadership team!
