Taub Trip to US Holocaust Memorial Museum

The trip to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC is an incredible opportunity offered through the Queens College Hillel. This event is made possible by the generosity of David and Linda Taub, who established the Student Holocaust Museum Endowment Fund, to encourage both Jewish and non-Jewish students to learn together about this significant period in history.

By learning its lessons, history can help young people to shape the future. The purpose of the trip is to share the experience of the Jewish people in the Holocaust with students of color in order to forge a better understanding of this historical event and to work together on campus to prevent any forms of prejudice, hatred, and bigotry, as well as working together to fight modern-day "genocidal" behavior around the world.

This year's trip will begin on Saturday night, March 6 and will return on Sunday evening March 7.

The cost is $60.00 per person which includes transportation, food and overnight accomodations at a metropolitan hotel in Washington, DC.

The requirement is that this be a first time trip to the USHMM. Each student (age 18-26) must be interviewed, be recommended by the Hillel Director, and fill-out the online registration form.
