Hi! My name is Zohar Bachiry, and I will be serving as the Presidentof Queens College Hillel for the upcoming 2013-2014 year. I truly care about Jewish life on and off campus, and am excited to be leading my community. I'm majoring in Urban Studies and minoring in Political Science and in my life outside of Hillel (as difficult as it is to imagine such a life), I love to laugh, dance, go out with friends, and even juggle a bit. I live in an apartment off campus, and love having guests over, so you're very welcome to visit! Feel free to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need to. I can’t wait to meet you all and I'm looking forward to a great year together!
My name is Gideon Glass and I am QC Scholars student pursuing a degree in Computer Science with aspirations of a future career in engineering. Already significantly experienced with social media marketing, I am further exploring the business world with a minor in BALA. I've been active both on campus and online as Communications Chair (2012-2013) for Hillel and as managing editor/founder of Tribe Magazine. My peers elected me Student Vice President in Spring 2013. I'm a musician by hobby and can often be found distracting those “studying” in the Hillel with some piano tunes and even taking occasional requests (and tips!) from my fellow student audience.
Hi! My name is Daniel Kaplan and I will be serving as the Hillel Treasurer for the 2013-2014 fiscal year. I hope to arrange our budget in a way that ensures that our money is being used efficiently. I want your input to make Hillel a better place and encourage you to contact me with any suggestions for improving our QC Hillel. There are a plethora of opportunities to get involved and I urge you all to take advantage of them. My hobbies include cooking, biking (if you hear a horn on campus it's probably me), and juggling. I live near the college so if you ever need a meal for Shabbat or during the week feel free to call!
Hi! My name is Nicki Kornbluth, and I come from this weird far-away place that I prefer not to mention in Queens (hint: it rhymes with New Blersey). I've been in QC since Fall 2011 and I'm majoring in Economics, and minoring in BALA (like every good Jewish girl should!) and Apparel and Textiles. I love corny jokes and friendly people, so it's pretty easy to amuse me. I'm always looking to meet new people, so introduce yourself! (If that's not enough incentive, I tend to bake a lot, and hey, everyone loves free cookies!) I'm really excited to see what this year brings for the continued growth of Hillel!
