Uri grew up in Bayside, Queens and is a New Yorker through and through! He went to public school in Bayside and the Bronx High School of Science. He attended the University of Pennyslvania as an undergraduate, majoring in Jewish Studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Uri has worked in the Jewish non-profit world for the past 11 years, with organizations such as Perry Davis Associates, Hillel's Schusterman International Center, and the Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan. Along with his wife Stacey and new son Noah, Uri is thrilled to be a part of the Queens College community. He is a major Mets fan, and also roots for the Giants, Jets, Rangers, and Knicks. Let's Go Mets!
Lynn was born and raised in New York. She lives with her husband and children 10 minutes away from our campus. Lynn received her B.A. in Economics from Stern College and continued her education at Baruch College in Computer Programming. Upon completion, she was hired as a business analyst in the Wall Street financial district until her department relocated to Florida and Lynn politely declined. For the past 10 years, Lynn has enjoyed working at QC Hillel so much that she now has 2 of her 3 children as QC students and her youngest child will be joining the QC community after her year-long study in Israel. Lynn enjoys swimming, Zumba and cooking for her family and Shabbat guests (& eating!). You can join Lynn on the QC track during the warm weather months at 6:00 AM or anytime (almost) at QC Hillel.
Jenna was born in Manalapan new Jersey, but has lived all over the US from south to north Florida, Texas to Georgia! Jenna graduated in 2008 from The Florida State University (go noles!) with a B.S in political science. At Florida State she was very active in the Hillel community, and focused her time on community service and social justice issues. In 2012 Jenna received her Master of Public Administration and policy focusing on non-profit management. Jenna loves college football, mastering the art of cooking, Walt Disney world, and her two cats Albus and Snape.
Rabbi Robert Charnoff
Rabbi Robby Charnoff was born and raised in New York. Following high school, he spent two years studying in yeshiva in Israel. He subsequently attended Yeshiva University where he graduated summa cum laude with a BA in psychology. Rabbi Charnoff then spent three years studying at RIETS to receive semicah, two of those years at Yeshiva University’s Gruss Institute, in Bayit Vegan, Israel. Returning to New York, Rabbi Charnoff served as Congregations Ohab Zedek’s rabbinic intern on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and was a Ramaz Kollel Fellow, all while finishing earning his Master’s Degree from the Azrieli School of Jewish Education and Administration. Robby and his wife Shoshana are proud to be the first ever OU JLIC Educators at Queens College! Additionally, their daughter Aliza is currently the cutest baby on Earth.
Shoshana is excited to be the JLIC educator at Queens College. Origianlly from Philadelphia, Shoshana went to Akiba Hebrew Academy for high school. Following graduation, Shoshana studied at Midreshet HaRova in the Old City of Jerusalem for a year and a half, earning a teaching certificate from the Israeli Ministry of Education to teach students in the Diaspora. Shoshana continued her studies and graduated with Honors from Stern College for Women with a B.A in English Literature. While at Stern, Shoshana served as the President of the Torah Activities Council, where she managed, guided, and facilitated all religious activity on campus, and was awarded for her excellence in communal leadership. After graduation, Shoshana and her husband Robby spent two years in the Yeshiva University's Gruss Institute. Shoshana has worked for the Jewish National Fund, Aish Hatorah and various Hebrew Schools throughout Manhattan. Shoshana and her husband Robby are the parents to Aliza, the cutest baby on campus.
