Building Jewish Micro-Communities

The Peer Network Engagement Internship, on campuses all over the world, builds relationships with currently uninvolved Jewish students, helps connect them to Jewish life, and works with them to create meaningful Jewish experiences on campus.

We have activated social networks to exponentially increase the number of students engaged in Jewish life at Queens College. Jewish humor nights, a Jewish identity series, the Egalitarian Initiative, Jewish denomination panels, and community service projects are just a few of the community building projects interns have created with their networks.

Other examples of communities that organize social networks include Migdalim (Israel engagement), the Israel Students Association, the Persian Club, and the Bukharian Club.
