What is FFND?

Free Friday Night Dinner is a free Shabbat dinner for Queens College students hosted by QC Hillel 4 times per year. It is made possible thanks to our generous donors and amazing volunteers.

What is a Table Captain* (*only when relevant)?

Table Captains help make FFND happen! There are 2 options: 1) "Create Your Own" Table Captain! This option lets you create your own table theme and invite 7 of your friends to join you. 2) "General Seating" Table Captain. This option is for people interested in helping us make FFND a welcoming experience in general seating.

When do I have to arrive?

You can join us for services OR you can just come to dinner. Upon arrival please check in at one of our event registration tables. Event registration lasts 15-25 minutes, so it's important to be on time.

Do I need to bring a copy of my ticket?

No. We will have a master list of reserved tickets. No need to waste paper!

How do I cancel my registration?

If you can no longer join us please email to cancel your ticket. There is always a wait list and it is very important if you cannot be there to let us know!

How can I get involved with FFND?

There are many ways to be involved:
1. Sign up to be a Table Captain
2. Join the FFND set up team. Email to find out how.

How do I choose where to sit?

When we have table captains, you will choose a table at registration. When there are no table captains you can sit wherever you'd like.

What is the dress code?

There is no dress code. Please where what makes you comfortable on Shabbat.
